Exclusive vinyl record collection – 4 new releases from Arkadia Records

Vinyl record

We’re very excited to introduce a new vinyl collection that features some of the Jazz greats like Benny Golson, Ron Carter, Art Farmer, Branford Marsalis, James Carter, Harold Ashby, and many more. These albums include 10 NEA Jazz Masters, performing at their peak. All records are 180 gram Premium Virgin Vinyl. We put our heart and soul into mastering the tracks, writing liner notes, and creating the artwork.

Listening to vinyl records is a beautiful experience that transports one to a bygone era of music appreciation. The sound on vinyl has the warmth and richness that digital formats often lack, adding depth and character to every note. It’s especially rewarding, when listening to Jazz legends like Benny Golson and Ron Carter.

Led by NEA Jazz Master Benny Golson, this Grammy nominated album is dedicated to honoring the legacy of seven of the all-time greats of the tenor saxophone – Lester Young, Coleman Hawkins, Sonny Rollins, John Coltrane, Benny Golson, Zoot Sims, and Ben Webster.Musical mastermind Benny Golson leads this extraordinary session with fellow tenor saxophonists Branford Marsalis, James Carter and Harold Ashby, culminating in the historic, Grammy nominated Arkadia Records album Benny Golson: Tenor Legacy. The stellar rhythm section (Geoff Keezer, Dwayne Burno, and Joe Farnsworth) provides splendid support for the four renowned saxophonists.
“Benny Golson’s tribute… is notable for its depth, legitimately great music, and memory. An essential CD for fans of jazz sax. Also, great liner notes with historical commentary by Golson on the tunes and players.”
– Todd De Groff, Victory Music Review

Thank you Duke vinyl horizontal

In this diverse and exciting musical tribute, a talented and multifaceted assemblage of musicians – each in his own style – pays tribute to Duke Ellington, playing tunes Duke wrote and made famous. All of these artists have benefited from Duke’s music and influence. Wide in scope and deep in nature, Ellington’s influence is something for which we will remain in debt for many years to come. The album features Jazz greats such as Benny Golson, Billy Taylor, Eric Reed, Joanne Brackeen, Randy Weston & Chris Potter.

“Plenty of fine discs have honored Duke this year, and this eclectic album ranks among the best.”
